The wine tour includes a tour of the three-section cellar of Château Buera.

The wine tour includes a tour of the three-section cellar of Château Buera. In each section is dedicated to different processes and different types of wine are made here. You can follow each process during our sommelier-led wine tour.

During the wine tour you will get information on the following topics: 8000-year history of traditional Georgian Techniques of winemaking, the history of the creation of Château Buera, classic and traditional wines, bottled method of making sparkling wine ( méthode champenoise ), aging wine in French oak barrels.

You also have the opportunity to walk in the vineyards of Château Buera, discover endemic Georgian grape varieties of Georgian wines and taste the highest quality local wine in the vineyard.

The guest chooses 4 types of wines from the listed ones.

Cheese board :

*Ashmellow (Cow cheese) – bloomy rind cheese with charcoal and white mold.Age 3 weeks.

*Marleta’s Bja (Cow cheese) – semi-hard cheese with yellowish rind. Age 10 weeks.

*Shalauri white (cow cheese) – soft, bloomy rind cheese with two kind of white mold.

Age 3 weeks.

*Tomme Shalauri (Cow cheese) – semi-hard cheese with mild flavor. Age 8 weeks.

*Telavi cheese (Cow cheese) – soft, bloomy rind cheese with charcoal and white mould.

Age 3 weeks.

*Pressed (Cow cheese)- aged in red wine

Fruit board (seasonal):

Strawberries , Apple , watermelon , pear, cherry , kiwi.
